STEREX Epilators are renowned for their quality, reliability and versatility.

Short Wave Diathermy or Thermolysis uses an alternating current at a high frequency and low voltage. This causes the water molecules around the follicle to vibrate resulting in the production of heat, stopping the blood supply to the root, which weakens and eventually destroys the hair. This is the method used in the Sterex SX-T, SX-A and SX-B machines.

The Galvanic DC (Direct Current) method causes a chemical reaction in the salt and water in the follicle. This reaction creates a chemical called Sodium Hydroxide or Lye, the Lye stops the nourishment to the cells that cause hair growth. This is the method used in the Sterex SX-G and SX-B machines.

The Blend method combines Galvanic and Thermolysis. This is the most effective method because the lye is more efficient at weakening the hair when heated. This is the quickest and most comfortable method. The Sterex SX-B Blend epilator uses this technology and also offers Short Wave Diathermy or Galvanic individually.

All Epilators are covered by a two year guarantee with a free loan system (UK only). Sterex epilators hold the CE mark and have achieved the required criteria to meet the European Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) regulations.
